I kept receiving complaints from that person, that each time there is some PDF file, it has to be first downloaded and then opened, which is really cumbersome! I have tried the following versions: firefox-42.0-2.fc21.x86_64firefox-44.0.2-3.fc22.x86_64firefox-44.0.2-3.fc23.x86_64Each of them has some dependency requirements, which I wasn't able to satisfy, no matter how hard I tried!!
As I don't have this problem with newer Firefox versions, today I finally took my time and tried to update Firefox 38 to some newer version. rpm -Uvh firefox-42.0-2.fc21.x86_64warning: firefox-42.0-2.fc21.x86_64.rpm: Header V3 RSA/SHA256 Signature, key ID 95a43f54: NOKEY error: Failed dependencies: 52()(64bit) is needed by firefox-42.0-2.fc21.x86_64 libicui1852()(64bit) is needed by firefox-42.0-2.fc21.x86_64 52()(64bit) is needed by firefox-42.0-2.fc21.x86_64 nspr = 18.104.22.168 is needed by firefox-42.0-2.fc21.x86_64 I did dnf reinstall libicu, as recommended on some webpage, it seemed to have done something, but it didn't fix any of the problematic dependencies! rpm -Uvh sqlite-3.11.0-2.fc23.x86_64sqlite-libs-3.11.0-2.fc23.x86_64warning: sqlite-3.11.0-2.fc23.x86_64.rpm: Header V3 RSA/SHA256 Signature, key ID 34ec9cba: NOKEY error: Failed dependencies: libsqlite30 is needed by (installed) qt-1:4.8.6-5.fc20.i686 libsqlite30 is needed by (installed) qtwebkit-2.3.3-7.fc20.i686 libsqlite30 is needed by (installed) nss-softokn-3.19.1-1.0.fc20.i686 This seems to be rotating me in the same circle, as I am already trying to install libsqlite3, and I was searching for another file for libsqlite3, but there is nothing else !!
If you notice them first, let us know and we update the article asap.
The design goals are simple: remove inconsistencies, and improve categories for better navigation.
The 2017 update to the preferences page of Firefox will change things around fundamentally, but won’t remove any options from the preferences (not that I’m aware of). Things may change along the way, Mozilla may move preferences around, create a new category, or make other changes that are not reflected here right now.
We will update the article once we become aware of these changes if they happen.
The Firefox preferences page allows users to modify various important browser settings such as the homepage, update behavior, or search engines.
